Route Description:
Low light Tayport. Approaching Tayport from B945 turn sharp left along Commonty Road. 600 yds turn sharp right down track marked Fife Coastal Path. Alternative is to start at the harbour. Good grassy area above the beach for sorting boats and gear. There is a small rock step down onto the beach. Head NW towards Stannergate, follow Dundee waterfront past oil rigs and other interesting vessels under the Tay Road Bridge to V & A keeping a safe distance from them. Continue to Tay Rail Bridge. From there cross back to Wormit Bay. Strong tides can be experienced between the piers at springs. Wormit Bay has a good beach for lunch but Jock’s Hole further west is more secluded
