Glasgow is a great city for sea kayaking. The Clyde Estuary offers sheltered waters with great scenery. A couple of hours drive will get you sea kayaking on the West coast. Our club trips visit many of the best sea kayaking trips in Scotland. We even sea kayak on the Clyde to view Glasgow city centre from the water.
Leaving the golden sands we head out onto the sea, with the sun glinting of the gentle sea, we head towards the dramatic caves, cliffs and sea arches. As we approach the cliffs, the Ocean swell crashes against the rocks. Above us thousands of birds make their calls. Surrounding us are our friends the seals, as inquisitive as usual. What will be in store for us around the next headland? The club trips can range from a short afternoon paddle in some of the nearby sea lochs to weekend trips and we try to organise at least one multiday trip per year either in Scotland or some other country, such as Norway. We are so very lucky in that we have one of the most dramatic and beautiful coastlines in the world. Scotland is also very fortunate in that it has a very abundant wildlife that surrounds our coastline. From common seals to whales and from otters to sea eagles can be seen in and around our waters. Very few trips will disapoint in lack of sightings. Watch this space
