Trip Leaders Resource
The club’s trip leaders are the key to a full and exciting calendar. Becoming a trip leader can seem daunting, however the more experienced coaches and trip leaders are incredibly willing to support people who are prepared to support you. As always start with smaller trips, in sheltered water.
Official club trips (i.e. published in the calendar are covered by the club insurance.
Other Trip Leaders and Authorisations
We have a list of club trip leaders on the website. Official BCU/SCA qualifications are not the only route to being a trip leader as the club can recognise experience.

Qualified coaches are also vital to the club. We have a short induction process to make sure we let you know how things work and also for coaches we need to carry out PVG procedures (child protection).
