01/11/11 Big November Club Paddling Weekend Saturday & Sunday 19th & 20th November A weekend of paddling with available options including some Loch trips, inland sea lochs and even the nice gentle grade 2 lower River Orchy, ideal for canadians. 13/03/10 White Water Safety and Rescue Course. This course was run for us by Jim Gibson of Aquaplay Scotland www.aquaplayscotland.com over the weekend of 13 – 14 March 2010 and was subsidised by a grant from the SCA. This was an excellent weekend with some learning for the most experienced members of the club as well as those members who hadn’t done that much white water paddling. The emphasis was on the practical application of the skills and, learning by experience in a safe and fun environment…. although as you would expect swimming in rivers in March was somewhat on the cold side, brr! Lots of positive feedback about the course and some new skills to practise on river trips, a great weekend was had by all. Our thanks to Jim for his expertise and Graham for the accomodation.
