Loch Awe – Island strongholds (2nd Saturday Paddle)

Club A trip, to Fraoch Eilean to an old fortress used for entertaining King Alexander III (whenever he was passing by), now lost over time. Then over to neighbouring “Green Island” (Inishail) in search of the ancient 13th century chapel ruins. Finishing the trip at the famous Kilchurn Castle. Overall plan may need to be adapted based upon weather, with Loch Ard being a plan B trip.
