Isle of Gigha Bank holiday adventure

Route Description
Gigha is a beautiful self-sustaining Island on the Kintyre Coast, it offers beautiful blue seas, sandy beaches and plenty of wildlife including a population of wild goats on Cara. The plan would be to leave from Tayinloan Ferry port on the Friday and cross to Gigha (Ferry across may be preferred depending on weather and group choice) Two nights wild camping required with the fall back of utilising the campsite on Gigha as a backup plan.
Day 1 Travelling down the East Side of Gigha and exploring the isle of Cara for an overnight camping on a beautiful, sheltered beach
Day 2 paddling around the South of Cara and the West side of Gigha to set up camp on the beautiful twin beaches on the NW of Gigha
This is a Grade A/B
Possible 3km crossing and small tidal considerations, the West side of Gigha can be exposed to Westerly winds
Distance total trip distance 26 km
