Tesco teamed up with Groundwork to launch its community funding scheme, which sees grants of £4,000, £2,000 and £1,000 – raised fromcarrier bag sales in Tesco stores – being awarded to local communityprojects. greenspace scotland is working with Groundwork to provide support to communities in Scotland

Three groups in every Tesco region have been shortlisted to receive the cash award and shoppers are being invited to head along to Tesco stores to vote for who they think should take away the top grant.

DRUMCHAPEL AND CLYDEBANK KAYAK CLUB is one of the groups on the shortlist. We hope to replace out 20 year old river kayaks with modern kayaks
abd we want to expand our coaching skills.


Voting is open in the following Tesco stores throughout November andDecember.

    Thanks for posting this Graham. If anyone shops at different Tesco stores, please ask for tokens and bring them along to the Tuesday pool sessions and I can collect them, or hand them over to any committee member or coach. Many thanks.
