Suilven Sizzler

A BBQ and Bivouac on top of Suilven.  Arguably the finest grade A inland trip in the Scotland.   We will aim to be on-the-water and paddling from Elphin at 1:00pm allowing time for travel and packing prior to this.    It’s a 9km paddle along Loch Veyatie before we pack rucksacks to climb up the mountain.  We plan to camp on top, which rarely sees winds under force 4-5, and so particular attention should be paid to checking tent guy ropes prior (smaller tents are also preferable as they tend to have less windage).

Note: This is a combined kayak and hillwalking trip and requires a level of fitness suitable for climbing a mountain with reasonably challenging terrain. Having a BBQ on top of a mountain may present a few logistical challenges which can hopefully be surmounted with ingenuity and cunning.
