Loch Morar

Taking into account the drive up, the aim will be to start the paddle around lunchtime with an over night camp at South Tarbet Bay.   Launching at the pretty wooded area, at the foot of the loch, we’ll explore the small islands within the loch.   Then travel 14k to our camp spot just beyond Swordland Lodge which was used as a training facility for special ops, during WWII.   If we are brave enough, it may be worth carrying out a special op of our own to check out the facility.

On the 2nd day we’ll explore the wilder but no less beautify upper end of the loch and travel back to our put-in point.   Covering approx 23k to fully explore all that Loch Morar has to offer.   Parking is very limited here, as is camping, so please express interest in advance.
