These things don’t just happen they’re the result of hours of work by our Club Volunteers.

I believe we must be one of the most active Kayak Clubs in Scotland.

 

Many thanks to you all who made my year in the DCKC Chair an enjoyable experience.

Secretary Report:

The secretary reported that at present it was not possible to send group emails to club members. GS would look into this.

It was also noted that there had been an exponential increase of general enquiries since the LL open day. This was now reflected in increased activity at pool sessions.

Treasurer:

£4696 is the end of season balance, this includes money ring fenced for lottery spending as well as around £1500 for non-cashed cheques.  So the real figure is in the region of £1500. The lottery money will have to be used by 1st March 2013. It was noted that all equipment is now insured.

Club Fees:

Three motion were put forward

A)     remain the same.

B)      Raise all fees by 10%

C)      Raise adult only from £27 to £30

Motion C was carried.

Constitution

It was agreed the Executive would look at updating the club’s constitution in line with SCA.

Items to be addressed in next committee meeting

  1. Storage space. GS suggested getting another container.
  2. Car sharing to be addressed to be more environmentally friendly and to avoid over use of laybys etc.
  3. Kit branding.
  4. Mine pie paddle to be held on 23rd December
  5. Next committee meeting  26th November.
