SUMMARY:Loch Lomond MicroSession: bring & try a boat (sea kayak)
DESCRIPTION:MicroSessions (first and third Tuesday of each month through-out year) MicroSessions are short coached sessions which focus in one skill or area of knowledge. They tend to be run as part of a loch/pool session and are generally turn up on the night. \nTonight’s session: bring & try a sea kayak – an opportunity to try out different sea kayaks – the evening’s success relies on people willing to lend their kayak(s) for others to try on a short paddle on Loch Lomond and then swapping kayaks for the return leg. \nLevel: All (sea kayaks) \nSpeak to: Amanda & Peter on the night. Session will start at 7.30. \nYou’ll need a sea kayak\, spray deck\, PFD & paddle all of which can be hired from the Loch Lomond container.

SUMMARY:'The Tide Tickler' -2025's Summer Expedition!
DESCRIPTION:For the past few years we have managed to run a 9 day sea kayaking expedition trip with venues including\, Orkney\, Shetland\, West Coast and Islands and the North East Coast. This year we are hoping to make it either Mingulay or Cape Wrath \nThe expedition can be fairly popular and we normally limit numbers to 12 group members so we ask people interested to Let Pat know.  We can then let people know if they can be accommodated but we also normally keep a reserve list too. The trip normally has some time camping on campsites but also aims for a few days on expedition\, wild camping and journeying. \nThis is always an extremely popular trip so register notes of interest with Pat as soon as you can. To progress to potentially booking ferries please can you note any interest by 12th Mat 2025! \nLeaders and Assistants: Misha/Graham/Pat \n  \n  \n

SUMMARY:Loch Lomond MicroSession: Backwards paddling… to improve all your strokes!
DESCRIPTION:MicroSessions (first and third Tuesday of each month through-out year) MicroSessions are short coached sessions which focus in one skill or area of knowledge. They tend to be run as part of a loch/pool session and are generally turn up on the night. \nTonight’s session: backwards paddling… to improve all your strokes! \nLevel: all \nSpeak to: Misha ‏on the night. Session will start at 7.15. \n  \nWhy backwards paddle?!  While we spend a lot of time forwards paddling\, we don’t spend a lot of time backwards paddling.  Yet a backwards paddle stroke forms the basis for support and manoeuvring strokes on the water\, all the ones that most often fail people (because we are so poorly practised at backwards paddling) !     \nYou’ll need a sea kayak\, spray deck\, PFD & paddle all of which can be hired from the Loch Lomond container.
