SUMMARY:SpeyBAY BONANZA! [Ballachulish on tour]
DESCRIPTION:Following feedback from last year’s Bonanza we’ll go to an alternate venue every second year for the Ballachulish Bonanaza.  This year we go hunting for surf\, rapids and dolphins in the Speybay area\nThe location means there will be good options for both river\, sea and surf trips so there’s no excuse not to come and it should be a great chance to socialise whatever your paddling persuasion! \nWe’ll be staying in the hall so no tents are required but you’ll need to bring something to sleep on and under.  \nThe trip will be £30 per person to cover renting the hall\, plus a share of the grocery cost and usual fees for anyone needing to borrow kit. \nCome along and celebrate the end of a (hopefully) great summer of paddling on a trip that has something for everyone!

SUMMARY:'The Tide Tickler' -2025's Summer Expedition!
DESCRIPTION:For the past few years we have managed to run a 9 day sea kayaking expedition trip with venues including\, Orkney\, Shetland\, West Coast and Islands and the North East Coast. This year we are hoping to make it to the N and NW coasts and Cape Wrath or a Hebrides Odyssey but the area normally depends on the weather. \nThe expedition can be fairly popular and we normally limit numbers to 12 group members so we ask people interested to let us know via info@dckc.co.uk (or to ask any questions).  We can then let people know if they can be accommodated but we also normally keep a reserve list too. The trip normally has some time camping on campsites but also aims for a few days on expedition\, wild camping and journeying. \nThis is always an extremely popular trip so register notes of interest with Pat as soon as you can. To progress to potentially booking ferries please can you note any interest by 20th May 2026! \nLeaders and Assistants: Misha/Graham/Bev

SUMMARY:Loch Morar
DESCRIPTION:Taking into account the drive up\, the aim will be to start the paddle around lunchtime with an over night camp at South Tarbet Bay.   Launching at the pretty wooded area\, at the foot of the loch\, we’ll explore the small islands within the loch.   Then travel 14k to our camp spot just beyond Swordland Lodge which was used as a training facility for special ops\, during WWII.   If we are brave enough\, it may be worth carrying out a special op of our own to check out the facility. \nOn the 2nd day we’ll explore the wilder but no less beautify upper end of the loch and travel back to our put-in point.   Covering approx 23k to fully explore all that Loch Morar has to offer.   Parking is very limited here\, as is camping\, so please express interest in advance. \nContact Leigh – 07748326210

SUMMARY:(Easter Egg) ROLL ON THE PAPS
DESCRIPTION:To mark the start of the CalMac summer timetable and the summer paddling season\, we’ll aim to make good use of weather and tides with a trip to Jura on the Easter weekend.  We will aim to run this Friday (or perhaps thursday evening) > Monday. This will offer some scope for altering plans to suite the conditions.  We hope to stay at Cruib Lodge (pictured) and climb up the Paps of Jura (to roll some Easter eggs) so some hill fitness is advised and egg painting skills .  Conditions dependant this can be run as a grade B trip\, or a C trip. Numbers dependant\, it may be ok to wait to see which of these plans emerge according to forecasts to make a decision in the week prior.   Interest should be registered early for this trip.\n\nPlease note: this trip has no plan B or plan C option planned in the event of poor weather\, so please make your own personal plans for this eventuality.\n\nTrip Leader: Misha\nAssistant Leader: TBC\n\nPlease register interest with Misha and include some info about your experience level if you are new to the group.  We will do everything we can to include people where we can.
