Club Evening Session – Loch Lomond
Aug 22 @ 6:30 pm – 9:30 pm

The regular club evening session is Tuesday evening at Loch Lomond. Meet at the outdoor store from 6.15 trying to be away just after 6.30pm. If you have your own boat and kit then feel free to meet at Drumkinnon Bay. We aim to be back at the Outdoor store just after 9pm. Depending on numbers there may be groups off for a sea paddle, some sea kayak training or beginner training close to the shore or some games of polo (or all three). The Duncan Mills Slipway building has toilets and showers. If you have a roofrack please bring it with you to carry your canoe or kayak.

Please note that some evenings there may be alternative trips such as sea or river trips. Please contact the organisor if you wish to go on an alternative trip.

Great Scottish Swim Rescue Boating and Fundraising
Aug 26 all-day
Hi everyone,
Last year we made about £2000 for the club funds by providing safety kayakers for the Great Scottish Swim. This year we have the opportunity to do this again and hopefully raise another £2000.
The event is taking place on Saturday the 26th of August at Loch Lomond.
The requirements are similar to last year. To be considered for the team kayakers must have at least one of the following qualifications OR previous Great Swim event experience:
  • Swim Event Safety Award (SESA)
  • BCU 2 star
  • BCU Coach Level 1+
  • Foundation Safety and Rescue Training (FSRT)

On behalf of the club I have offered to provide 20 kayakers. If you are available on 26 August and want to help out with a bit of fundraising please contact Sandy on
